In Blind Date, tradition collides with rebellion as Sarah Nancy refuses to flirt, or even learn to be lady-like, to entertain would-be mortician Felix.   Although the play is set in 1929, Foote's insightful  and sensitive comedy gently reveals the oppressive nature of traditional roles and the joy that comes simply by being yourself.
